What happens if a tag is missing from a skin on arrival?
A missing or damaged tag is treated seriously because the tag is what links an individual skin to its permit line. Report it immediately with photographs and the packing position. How long are the documents valid?
CITES export permits carry an expiry date and must be presented within their validity period, which is why shipment timing is planned around the permit rather than the other way round.
